Water Channel on Jl. Haji Nawar Tugu Selatan Normalized

Anticipating flooding, Koja Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Unit together with local residents normalized drainage on Jl. Haji Nawar RT 07/02, Tugu Selatan Urban Village, Koja, North Jakarta.

Koja Sub-district SDA Unit Head, Jeri Widian conveyed, his side normalized channel as long as 100 meters with 80 centimeters wide. Normalization has been carried out since early February and targeted to finish in the next 45 days.

"This normalization connects channel on Jl. Haji Nawar to channel on Jl. Bek Amat (Kampung Mangga) and connecting channel on Jl. Plumpang Semper," he said, Wednesday (2/10).

Tugu Selatan Urban Village Head, Sukarmin expected the normalization can prevent inundation in the area during rainy season. If the condition is normal, water can flow well thus environment can be cleaner and healthier.

"This is the best solution to solve water flow problems at RT 07/02 Tugu Selatan," he closed.
